About Me

My name is Alana Olendorf and I recently graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Keene State College. This blog site was used as a way to share my notes and labs from my undergraduate classes with my classmates and anyone else who found them interesting. It also includes posts about topics in biology that I find important or interesting. Most of these posts relate to what we were talking about in class.

I have gone to the Turks and Caicos twice with two of my professors to learn about and help with the work that they do down there. They have been monitoring a coral reef there since 2008, and also help teach local high school youth about the marine ecosystem and sustainability.

I am currently working as an industrial hygiene lab technician, although I am looking into grad schools and pursuing a career in conservation and ecology.

I hope you enjoy reading about some of the topics that I find important and want to share!
